Letter: Cunningham deserves to be top pick in County Board race
“In working with Cunningham on a variety of volunteer projects, I have seen first-hand how she can bring together people who have competing ideas and find productive ways of moving forward.”
— Dennis Carter-Chand
Letter: Cunningham, Roy are top options in County Board primary
“Two of the six candidates running in the primary have been clear that they would not have voted in favor of what the county now calls Expanded Housing Options (EHO) zoning, which allows six-unit buildings on single-family lots across Arlington. Susan Cunningham and Natalie Roy have detailed how EHO zoning is not affordable for low-, moderate- or middle-income residents and how the process of adopting it lacked the necessary studies of increased density’s impact on Arlington’s infrastructure.”
— Abby Raphael
Letter: Roy, Cunningham have the community involvement needed
“We need County Board members with deep community experience, wide contacts from years of involvement and the backbone to think through complicated questions and not be pressured by others who are knee-jerk partisans.”
— Steve Barlas
Letter: Cunningham is ready, has skills to hit ground running
“Her problem-solving approach has brought diverse interests to the table and been rewarded with results. Her leadership at community, state and federal levels, at times overseeing billion-dollar budgets, gives her the expertise to understand details necessary to hold county staff accountable without losing sight of overarching objectives. Finally, I appreciate that she is currently the only candidate with school-aged children. Arlington invests a lot to provide students with superior learning opportunities. Cunningham understands the value of good schools to the promise and potential of our community.”
— Cynthia Hilton
